Rwanda Premieres Zuriel’s Film – ‘’Follow the Ball’’ for Education in Kigali


TUE, NOVEMBER 28 2017-theG&BJournal-The land of a Thousand Hills has become the third country where Film Maker and Girl Education Advocate, Zuriel Oduwole, has premiered her latest film  – “Follow The Ball” for Education. Attended by many from the country’s young population constituency, including a colorful impromptu performance by a large Girls Group on the “Blue Carpets” of the Kigali Radisson Convention Center, it continues to show in reality, what one Educated Girl can do, is community supported.


Eric Kebera, Rwanda’s leading film authority and President of the Kwetu Film Institute, who advised on the film Hotel Rwanda about the country’s genocide in 1994, graced the premier and spoke glowingly about the efforts of the young film maker. He describes her journey as telling a powerful social issue story via film making. Representatives from the Rwandan Presidency as well as the businesses community and the media turned up to see the creative work and hear first hand, from the film maker herself.
