PDP Chairman abducted by gunmen ahead of convention

PLATEAU, DECEMBER 7, 2017 – The chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Plateau state Hon. Damishi Sango has been kidnapped by unknown gunmen.

New Telegraph reports that the former minister of sports was abducted on Wednesday, December 6, along Abuja-Jos Road.

According to family sources, the PDP chairman was on his way to attend the party’s national convention scheduled for Saturday, December 9. John Akans who is the publicity secretary of the party confirmed the incident. He said the former minister left Jos around 2pm on his way to Abuja when the gunmen forced him to stop. They whisked him and his driver away while abandoning the jeep he was travelling in.
