THUR, NOVEMBER 17 2016-The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP 2016 Governorship Candidate, Dr. Jimoh Ibrahim said the fact that the God and the masses of Ondo State are on his side is the secret behind his firm and resolute stand against the oppositions.
Ibrahim made these revelations to the mammoth crowd that were present at his gubernatorial flag off at Ore Town, Odigbo Local Government of the state. Ibrahim told the crowd that once he flags off his campaign the opposition will definitely flag down.
He said that the mammoth crowd present here is a testimony to the fact that the PDP Party is alive and enjoying overwhelming support from the people of Ondo State. The National Leaders of the Party led by Senator Alimodu Sheriff were present at the event.
‘Since the beginning of this political struggle I have put my trust in God and in the people of Ondo State and this has made me to remain unshakeable and resolute in my commitment to the struggle for political liberation of our people” Ibrahim noted.
He added that he has remained focus and committed to winning the election despite all effort by Governor Olusegun Mimiko and his cohorts to distract him with their “lousy treats, empty boast and negative propaganda.”
He present to the public his running mate, Honourable Ebenezer Omotayo Alabi whom he called the perfect match saying “the PDP has the best tag team for the accelerated development of Ondo State we are both committed and we have the clout, exposure, experience, competence, courage and conscious enough to perform better than the others”
In his declaration, Ibrahim promised that “in his 100 days in office all backlog of salaries, arrears, pension and Contractors outstanding payments will be cleared.
In our 100days in office 100 Public Secondary Schools in Ondo State will go boarding and we will make sure that our student perform excellent by passing well in WAEC.NECO and in JAMB.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Ondo State Chapter, Prince Biyi Bill Poroye has reaffirmed that the masses of the state are the ones who scuttled what he called the 3rd term secretive agenda of Governor Olusegun Mimiko by rejecting Barrister Eyitayo Jegede’s Candidature.
Poroye said it is an evil design by Mimiko after his terrible seven years of hard labour imposed on the people to be sponsoring his former Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Jegede from the same Senatorial District.
He noted that in an oil producing state the record of the high level of poverty, hopelessness and hardship in the Northern and Southern Senatorial District is embarrassing and the only reason for this “is the deliberate, wicked and total neglect of Mimiko’s government on the two districts.”-theG&BJournal
