New APC spokesman, Bolaji Abdullahi promises to engage Nigerians


LAGOS, DECEMBER 2, 2016 – A former Minister of Youths and Sports, Bolaji Abdullahi, was on Thursday elected the new spokesperson of the All Progressives Congress, APC.

His new position was confirmed at a mini-convention held at Chelsea Hotel, Abuja.

Abdullahi replaces Lai Mohammed, who resigned from the post to become the Minister of Information and Culture, under President Muhammadu Buhari.

In his acceptance speech, he said: “I want to assure you that we shall do all in our capacity to continue to strengthen the party. We know that if we continue to engage the people of Nigeria in all humility, they will continue to stand with us even in the midst of this difficult time.”

Other key officials elected at the convention include Mohammed Zakari as Deputy National Treasurer and Abdul Ibrahim as Zonal Organizing Secretary.
