NOVEMBER 24, 2016 – The Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK) Awka, Anambra State will this Friday, experience entertainment like never before, as the grandmasters of data, Globacom, takes its flagship musical show, Glo Campus Storm, to the university in grand style.
The show, which has been held in six other tertiary institutions in the last six weeks, promises a full dose of entertainment for members of the UNIZIK community as Globacom has lined up A-list artistes for the concert.
According to Globacom, the artistes expected to grace the show include Egberi Papa of Bayelsa, Timaya, Jude Abaga, otherwise known as MI; the sensational hip-hop star, Runtown, and budding music star, Asterix. Ace comedian, Gordons, will anchor the show, while DJ Tops will blast hot tunes from the jukebox.
During the show, ten students of the university, comprising five males and five females, will have the chance of winning up to N100, 000 in the “Glo Campus Dude” and “Glo Campus Diva” beauty pageant.
The ten successful contestants will later in 2017, at the grand finale of the pageant, join 230 other contestants from all the institutions where the show would have been held to compete for the star prize of N1 million in scholarships. Other perquisites include Globacom Brand Ambassadorial contract and automatic invitations to Globacom-organised events such as the Glo-CAF Awards, Glo Slide ‘n’ Bounce concert and Glo Laffta Fest comedy shows.
Globacom said that any student willing to participate in the pageant or watch the show in UNIZIK, would be required to buy and load Glo Campus Booster Data worth only N500.
In the six institutions where the show had taken place before coming to UNIZIK, the experiences had been awesome. Each show had attracted mammoth crowds as students and members of the academic communities trooped out in their thousands to catch fun.
